Subscription billing is two-part. The renewal order is created when the plan renews and carries the plan rate (plus delivery/fees). The meal-selection order is created separately when the customer, an admin or auto-select chooses the meals for a delivery date: included meals are priced at $0 because they are already paid by the plan, so that order usually totals $0. It only carries an amount when something extra was added – a surcharge (premium) meal beyond the included allowance, a portion upgrade, an à la carte meal, an addon, a bag fee or tax on those – which is why you sometimes see small amounts such as $2. Both orders are visible from the subscription page (Order column on each date and the Last Payment panel).
