Why does the store sometimes not let me pick my own subscription meals at all?
Store staff can turn off two toggles on a subscription plan (or Meal Pack) — "Auto Select Meals?" and "Allow Modify Meals?" — on the plan's edit page. With "Allow Modify Meals?" off, you can't swap or manually pick meals for that plan at all; the system fills every delivery for you instead, and combined with "Auto Select Meals?" the picker UI itself changes to reflect that meals are chosen automatically rather than by you.
