Every row is a final purchasable item, but the badge tells you how the item is set up in your kitchen: Ingredient is a plain raw ingredient; Sub-Recipe means the item is flagged as a sub-recipe in Kitchen › Sub-Recipes but has no component ingredients of its own (so it is bought as-is, e.g. a pre-made stock). Sub-recipes that do have components never appear here – their components do instead. Sub-Recipe rows include labour in their price and cannot have their supplier changed from the report.
