What are the Cooking Reports and what is each one for?
The Cooking Reports are the production reports you run after your order cut-off to know what to buy, cook and pack for one or more delivery dates. In the current version the Meal Prep menu group's Cooking Reports submenu contains, in this order:
- Inventory Shopping List – every raw ingredient you need, totalled and grouped by supplier, with prices, stock on hand and a one-click purchase email to each supplier.
- Meals Report – how many of each meal / portion size were ordered, which orders they came from, and a Top 15 best-sellers tab.
- Custom Meals Report – (Custom Meals module) what each customer built in the Custom Meal Builder.
- By Pounds Report – (By The Pounds module) what each customer ordered by the pound.
- Cooking Report – one recipe card per meal with scaled, trimmed ingredient quantities and cooking instructions for the chefs.
- Sub-Recipe Report – the batch quantities of every sub-recipe (sauces, marinades, bases) needed, with their component ingredients.
Related production reports live under the Fulfilment Reports submenu, which includes Menu Breakdown Report (cost and margin of each recipe on the menu), Packaging Report (plating instructions per meal), Meal Kit Reports and Extras Report, plus several other packing/logistics reports (Labels, Pick-up, Delivery, Subscriptions, Meals By Customer, and more depending on your modules). All of them read the same orders, so the numbers agree with each other; they simply present them at different levels (ingredient → sub-recipe → meal → order).
