For each subscription with empty slots on the date, Sprwt starts from the active meals on that date's menu for the plan's kitchen and removes anything the customer cannot have:

• meals not offered in the subscription's portion size;
• meals that contain one of the customer's allergens or dislikes;
• meals outside the categories allowed by the plan (using the plan's And/Or/Auto category rule, or the system default);
• meals that do not match the customer's own diet preferences (categories they chose on their profile).

From what is left it fills each day and category slot of the plan, preferring meals that have been ordered the fewest times so far (with a random tie-break) and rotating so the same customer does not get the same meal twice until the list is exhausted. Meals with a surcharge are skipped unless Order: Subscription > Allow AutoChoose Included Surcharge Meals? is Yes and the subscription still has included-surcharge slots. If the Subscription Reorder Lock module is on and the customer has a locked reference week, those meals are reused first.

The selection is then saved as an order using the subscription's pickup point or shipping address, its billing details and the customer's saved payment method/balance.
