How do I create a sub-recipe and add ingredients to it?
- Go to Ordering > Kitchen > Sub-Recipes and click Add new.
- Fill in Display Name, Category, optional Sub-Recipe Group and Priority Order.
- Under Financing set Base Weight to the recipe's yield and the Base Unit you plate in; optionally set Cost per hour and Time to prepare (Hours) for labour.
- In Sub-recipe Ingredients click Add Ingredient or Sub-recipe. In the "Choose Sub-Recipe or Ingredient" picker, search or filter by category (tick Sub-recipe to see only sub-recipes) and press the green + on each item; press Load More for more results.
- Each added item becomes a panel; expand it and type the Quantity used, in that item's base unit.
- Drag panels by the handle to set the order customers see in the ingredient breakdown.
- Click Save. Food COGS, allergens and dislikes are calculated from the ingredients (and, if Auto Macros is on, macros too).
