Skip a Subscription Pickup/Delivery
You can only skip or cancel dates that are within the current billing period. In our system, when you skip a date in a customer's subscription, they are still paying for the meals they would have received at the same time, but their billing period will be extended - the customer will get an extra day, on which they will receive the meals they had previously paid for, and the next time their plan renews is pushed back. There are no refunds associated with skipping.
Go to the customer's subscription page from Subscriptions > ID#.
Select the date for which the customer will not be receiving their meals and click SKIP THIS DAY.
If you leave the Create new day? toggle on, one more date will be added onto the end of the customer's subscription. This will be the date on which the customer will receive the meals they are paying for on the skipped day.
Select the date on which the customer will be billed again under Update next renew day to. That will be the next renewal date for which the customer will be billed again.
*FOR DATES THEY HAVE NOT YET PAID FOR*
If you need to push back meals for all customers
Each time a subscription renews, it will renew for the next day with open meal selections.
If you close meal selections before your subscriptions renew for that date, those subscriptions will renew as normal, but the dates that are added to their subscription billing period will start on the next open date.
If one customer needs to skip a date in the future
Again, you can only skip or cancel dates that are within the current billing period.
Every time you skip a date and have Create new day on, another date will be added to the billing period.
You could skip dates until the desired date is in the current billing period, and then unskip the dates that you still need to keep. Update the renewal date once you are done.
If at the end of this process you end up with more open dates than you should have, you should charge the customer separately.
Otherwise, you should just inform your customers that they should skip the date after they are billed for it, and then they will receive those meals at a later date.
