Why was no commission created for an order from an affiliate's customer?
Work through these checks:
- Attribution — is the customer listed in the affiliate's Attributed Users? Customers who registered before clicking the link are not attributed automatically; use Assign User.
- Affiliate active — the affiliate must be Is Active.
- Rule valid — the rule must be Is Active and not past its Contract Ending.
- Step still running — count the steps' durations from the customer's Start Date; if every step has expired, no commission is due.
- Logged-in purchase — guest checkouts never generate commissions.
- Coupon override — if the order used another affiliate's coupon, the commission went to that affiliate instead.
For past orders you can still create the missing commissions with Assign User → Backfill Commissions.
