For a simple meal — one with only a single portion size and no add-on options — tapping its quantity on the POS grid (or on a line already in the cart) skips the full meal-prep screen and opens a big on-screen numeric keypad instead: punch in the quantity, then Done. It's a shortcut for ringing up large quantities quickly without stepping through portion/add-on choices that don't apply. Any meal with multiple portion sizes or add-on groups still opens the regular meal-prep screen with its own +/- quantity stepper.
