Active Subscriptions is a snapshot of right now – the number of subscriptions that are set to auto-renew and are not cancelled at the moment you load the page. It is not tied to the selected period, so its value stays the same for any date range, and it has no daily sparkline (its card keeps an empty chart lane so the grid stays even).

In the current version, turning comparison on does still add a badge to this card — but because no comparison value is actually calculated for Active Subscriptions, the badge is not meaningful: it typically reads +100% (the code treats the missing previous-period figure as zero) rather than a real percentage change. Use New Subscriptions and Cancelled Subscriptions to see genuine movement within a period.
