Each step of a track can depend on a module, a plan or a permission (for example a By The Pounds report step needs the By-the-Pound module, the Checkout As step needs the Checkout-As module and permission, and the Profit & Loss step needs the Accounting module and the Sales Profit/Loss permission). Steps you do not qualify for are removed before the tour starts, and the card says N steps hidden – they cover features not enabled on your account, or screens you don't have permission for. Some steps also need a real record to land on (an existing meal, ingredient, subscription, proposal, employee or POS device). On a brand-new account with none of those the step falls back to a version written for an empty install (pointing at the list or the new-record screen) where one exists, otherwise it is dropped.
