The window keeps a local list of the meals on the day and updates it after each add/remove, so the green + / red - buttons should stay accurate while you filter or search. If the buttons ever look stale (for example after another user changed the same day), close the window and click Select Meals For this day again, or tick Only Selected to force a fresh load of the day's list.
