At checkout Sprwt re-validates the chosen time against now + Order Buffer Time and the day's windows. If the customer took too long and their time slipped into the past (or outside a window), the system automatically substitutes the next available time so the order can still be placed. The new time is what the kitchen sees on the KDS card. Increase the windows or reduce the buffer if this happens often near the end of a window.
