When you create a payout with Send to digital balance switched on, Sprwt first credits the affiliate's wallet and then marks each commission as paid, all in one transaction. If any step fails – for example the affiliate's customer account cannot be updated – everything is rolled back and an "Update Error ..." message is shown, so nothing is half-done. Retry once; if it keeps failing, check that the affiliate's user account still exists and is not disabled, or pay without the digital-balance option and record the payment externally.
