Why did a payout fail and what should I do?

Open the failed payout from Stripe > Payouts (filter by Failed). A red banner at the top shows Stripe's own failure code and message — Sprwt does not translate or add its own explanation. In Stripe's own system, common causes include an invalid or closed bank account, incorrect routing details, or the bank declining the transfer, but read the exact message on the banner for your case. The failed amount is returned to your Stripe balance and is normally included in a future payout once the problem is fixed.

To check your bank details, go to Stripe > Account Settings and look at the External Accounts panel to see which account is marked Default and its status, then use Stripe > Dashboard to open your Stripe Express dashboard and update or replace the bank account. Bank accounts cannot be edited from inside Sprwt.
