Every blog post has an Author (a staff/admin user, defaulting to whoever creates the post). The Blog Post Header module displays the author's name and post date at the top of the post, and the blog list API returns the author's name with every post. The Blog List module itself, however, only shows the post date — not the author name. Pages do not have an author field. Change the author from the post's settings (Author field, Info tab).
