With Allow Refer a Friend = Yes, logged-in customers see an Invite your Friends banner on their profile page; with Show Invite a Friend in the Site Footer = Yes there is also an Invite a friend button in the site footer (hidden on cart pages and in the admin). Both open the referral popup, which shows:

• "Invite your Friends and get $X" plus a count of friends already referred,
• Share this link with your friends with a Copy button,
• Or you can send it directly via email — an EMAIL box and Send Email button (sends the "user_referral_referee" system email with the link),
• Or you can share on social networks — Facebook, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp buttons,
• a footnote explaining that both parties are credited after the friend's first purchase.

Visitors who are not logged in see the same popup with a login form. The picture on the left is the Referral Modal Image (Client Config > Business: Website). Appending ?invitefriend=1 to a page URL opens the popup automatically.
