Rate/charge ("How much do you charge...") is what you bill the customer for the item. Cost ("How much does it cost you...") is what it actually costs your business to provide it — used for internal margin tracking, not shown to the customer. Both are entered per the unit you chose (Hour, Item, Day, etc.), and both are required fields.
