Weight in LB/KG only appears when the FedEx module is active. It lets you create several rate entries for the same zip and route, one per package weight tier, so FedEx-style weight-based pricing can be represented. The unit follows Client Config > Theme: Kitchen > System Unit Weight (Metric vs Imperial). Without FedEx the weight is stored as 0 and hidden.
