Percent pays the affiliate that percentage of the portion of the order actually charged to the customer's card or other payment method — any part paid from the customer's wallet balance is excluded (e.g. 10% of a $120 order paid entirely by card = $12.00). Flat pays a fixed amount per order regardless of its size (e.g. $5 on every order). Commissions are rounded to two decimals and recorded with the rule and step that produced them, so later changes to the rule do not alter existing commissions.
