Real Time Ordering is a separate ordering channel for same-day, ASAP-style orders. Instead of choosing a future delivery/pickup date the way Meal Prep customers do, the customer picks a time today (within the hours you publish), selects meals from that day's Real Time Menu, and pays. The order then lands on the Kitchen Display System (KDS) where staff accept it, prepare each meal, mark it ready, and either hand it over for pickup or request an Uber Direct courier for delivery.

Key traits of the module in the current version:

• It is a purchased module ("Realtime", storefront page /realtime, default page title Real Time Ordering).
• It has its own daily menu (Real Time Menu), its own fulfilment weekdays and time windows (Real Time > Settings), and its own order group (Real Time) in reports.
• Real Time items cannot be mixed with other modules' items on the same cart day.
• Deliveries for Real Time orders are quoted and dispatched through Uber Direct; pickups use pickup points flagged for Real Time.
