What is Learn the recipe model and what does Create examples build?
On Meal recipes > Learn the recipe model, Sprwt explains that meals are built from sub-recipes (the things you actually prep) and offers to create three worked examples plus a meal made from them so you can see how yields, shrinkage and portions fit together. The sub-recipes are Grilled Chicken (or Baked Tofu if you switch to Plant-based at the top of the panel), Jasmine Rice and Steamed Broccoli, each shown with its yield (chicken and broccoli lose weight as they cook; rice gains it). The Sample meal (Grilled Chicken Bowl / Baked Tofu Bowl) is built from the three with an amount set for every portion size (Regular, Large, Extra Large). Amounts use ounces or grams depending on your account's units. Press Create examples to create the ticked items (existing ones are skipped), or Skip – I'll build my own to hide the panel. Once built, the panel shows Done with links See the sub-recipes and See the sample meal.
