What is a proposal template and when should I use one?
A proposal template is a saved list of meals (with portion, quantity and unit price), Labor & Equipment lines (quantity, hours and rate) and Invoice Items (custom charges with name, quantity, unit and unit price), plus a name, a sub-title and an active/inactive status. Use templates for event packages you sell repeatedly, for example a standard corporate lunch for 50 or a wedding buffet. When you create a new event from a template, all those lines are copied into the new proposal so you only need to add the customer, date, delivery method and any adjustments. A template does not store a customer, event date, venue, notes or payment terms.
