Sprwt validates that a name and email were entered (Please provide a valid name / Please provide a valid email) and that a newsletter group exists for the kitchen (Invalid Group means the newsletter list has not been set up yet under Sprwt Emails). Then:

• If the email belongs to an existing customer account, that customer is added to the newsletter group.
• Otherwise a new marketing contact is created with the name and email, marked as accepting emails, and added to the group. The phone number is passed along with the trigger (so a flow or Klaviyo/KLCT event can use it) but is not stored on the marketing contact record itself.

In both cases the User: New Newsletter trigger fires, so a welcome flow in Sprwt Emails or a Klaviyo/KLCT event can follow. Duplicate submissions do not create duplicate group members.
