Confirming an existing item saves the receipt cost, quantity and supplier item ID against that supplier, recalculates the ingredient's price per base quantity, updates the unit/base weight if you changed them, and adds the purchased quantity to your ingredient stock (when your plan or the Ingredient Stock module tracks stock). Confirming a new item creates the ingredient with the same data. Macro options on the review page: - Calculate Macros with AI / Re-calculate Macros with AI on a card – one AI call for that ingredient (about $0.07). - Create & Calculate Macros on a new item – creates it and estimates macros in one go. - Save Macros – stores values you typed manually (no AI cost). - Bottom bar Confirm Changes and Update Macros – processes all selected cards and estimates macros for new items and any existing item marked as needing macros. It first checks that you have $0.07 of credit per ingredient needing macros; if not, the out-of-credits pop-up appears and nothing is changed.

When the bulk action finishes the cards are marked Processed and the review session is cleared.
