It's an unread-orders count made up of three sources combined: Grab & Go orders, Pickup orders (by delivery date/shipping method), and POS-menu orders that haven't been marked as read/handled yet. It only shows when Client Config > Notifications > "POS Orders Show Notifications Count" is on (it's on by default) and the global "Enable Notifications" setting is on.
