What does the customer see when their subscription menu is locked?
On the subscription meal-selection page the customer sees a blue Menu Locked notice ("The meals for this plan are curated and cannot be changed."). All meal-editing controls are hidden: meal swapping is disabled, extra meals are not offered, and the plan behaves as auto-selected, so the meals you set through re-ordering are what gets produced. The customer can still manage other aspects of the subscription (pause, skip, etc.) according to its other rules.
