What do the notes fields (Internal Notes, Proposal Notes, Menu Notes, Dietary Restrictions, Beverage Notes, Setup Notes) do?
- Internal Notes – for your team only; never shown to the customer.
- Proposal Notes – customer-facing notes printed on the proposal and available as the @notes merge tag in contracts and emails; this field is always shown, it has no visibility toggle.
- Menu Notes, Dietary Restrictions, Beverage Notes, Setup Notes – operational details that feed the Banquet Event Order for your kitchen and service staff (hidden for Personal Chef proposals). This whole block can be hidden with Proposals: Show Notes (Order: Catering tab, default Yes).
All six fields are tracked individually in the Activity log when changed (e.g. "Notes changed", "Menu notes changed").
