A Free Trial badge in the admin header means Sprwt has set the account's Server Status to Trial; the site works normally. A red Maintenance Mode ! bar across the top means Sprwt has put the site into maintenance mode (typically during an update); if a version-acceptance banner is showing at the same time it turns red as well. Both are controlled by Sprwt, not from your settings. Sprwt super-admins also see a plan badge (e.g. Bloom plan) and a fee note in the header that customers do not see.
