Both are in Client Config > Order: Subscription and affect new subscriptions bought by customers. Auto Renew Default (Auto/Manual) sets whether a new subscription starts with auto-renewal on or off. Client can set Auto Renew on new Subscription? (Yes/No) controls whether the customer can switch renewal on/off themselves; it is also one of the switches that allows customers to pause/reactivate from their profile (together with Show Pause/unpause button on profile). Existing subscriptions are not changed; adjust them individually with Pause / Reactivate.
