An Add-on Group is a named set of ingredients or sub-recipes (e.g. Extra proteins: chicken +$3, steak +$5) that customers can add to a specific meal when ordering. Each item in the group has its own price, default quantity, min/max order quantity and optional tiered pricing. Groups are attached to meals through the POS Addons multi-select in the meal editor and are used by the cart across order types.

Extras, by contrast, are standalone priced items (snacks, merchandise, sessions) sold on their own page and cart, not tied to a particular meal.
