Image uploads save as soon as you pick a file and then reload the page on the same tab. If the image is missing afterward, check that: you are on the Global configuration (image rows are only ever offered on the shared Global settings - they're excluded when you've switched to a specific location/kitchen), and the file is a jpg, jpeg, png or svg - other file types are copied through without processing and can render incorrectly. If the resize/processing step fails, the row silently keeps its previous value with no error message shown, so try a smaller or different file. To swap an image you do not need to delete the old one first - uploading a new file replaces it (the stored filename is based on the setting, not your original filename).
