If I remove more digital balance than a customer actually has, does their balance go negative?
Yes. The Edit Balance "Remove balance" action doesn't check the customer's current balance before subtracting — if you take out more than they have, the total simply goes negative and stays that way until you add funds back. There's no floor-at-zero protection.
