In the current version this option does not work at all: the recipe-card step generator only keeps a generated step photo when the image call's response comes back with a hosted image URL, but the AI image function Sprwt uses for this call never returns that kind of response – it always returns the picture as raw embedded image data (or an error), never a URL – so the code skips saving a photo for every single step, every time. The image generation call still runs (and is still billed like any other AI image) even though the photo never gets attached to the step. If you need step photos, add them manually with the Add photo control on each step, or generate a picture separately with Generate Meal Image with AI and save it there instead. If you were charged credits for step photos that never appeared, contact Sprwt support – this is a bug in the current version, not something you did wrong.
