I set a low-stock threshold on a Product or Extra, but the alert email never fires when it sells out — why?
Products and Extras have their own separate low-stock email, distinct from the meal-based stock alert described above. In the current version, it only fires when a staff member manually edits and saves that product or extra in the admin panel while its stock quantity is at or below the configured threshold (with tracking turned on).
A customer's purchase does not lower this stock quantity — there's no automatic decrease anywhere in checkout for Products or Extras. In other words, the number is a manual counter today: nothing changes it, and the low-stock email won't fire, unless a staff member goes back into that item's edit page and lowers the number themselves. If you're relying on this to catch a sellout from real customer orders, it currently won't do that on its own.
The email goes to your Client Config admin email address (falling back to your system "from" address if that's blank). Superadmins can send themselves a sample via the Preview action on the item's edit page.
Where to find it:
Products: admin/products/<id> (edit) · Extras: admin/extras/<id> (edit)
