For regular Chef Menu meal labels, the printed date is the delivery date plus a number of days: Sprwt uses the meal recipe's own Expiration Days if one is set, otherwise Business: Labels > Meals Expiration Days (Labels) — but only if that setting is greater than 0. If it's 0, the whole expiration line is left blank even when Expiration Date is ticked and even if the individual meal has its own Expiration Days value — the global setting acts as a master on/off switch, not just a fallback. For Retail Meal labels, expiration works differently than the settings page implies: although Business: Labels also has a Meals Expiration Days (Retail Labels) field, the retail label template doesn't use it at all — it always uses the same Meals Expiration Days (Labels) value as regular meals, with no per-meal override. The wording in both cases is controlled by Expiration Date text: Enjoy by or Freeze by.
