How does a scheduled Marketing Campaign email or text actually get sent?

This automation drains your campaign send queue (up to 50 items per run, oldest first). "Conditional" steps in an automation flow — branching on whether a previous email was opened/clicked, or a text was delivered/replied to — are evaluated first and don't require sending anything; they just check what's already happened and route to the matching branch.

For queued emails, it compiles the template, applies any personalization, rewrites links with tracking, and sends it with open/click tracking enabled. For queued texts, it appends a "reply STOP to opt out" compliance line (unless the message already mentions it) and sends it, deducting SMS credits the same way as your other text automations. If a store's email-sending setup for campaigns isn't fully verified yet, every queued send for that store — email or text — is skipped until that's resolved.
