Low-stock alerts are checked instantly, not on a schedule — whenever a meal's stock at a location changes and crosses below its configured threshold, Sprwt sends the configured alert email(s) and, if your master notification setting is on, creates a bell notification too.

Once an alert has fired, it's marked so it won't fire again on every subsequent stock drop while the meal stays low — it only resets and becomes eligible to fire again after stock recovers above the threshold and then drops below it a second time.
