Image settings show a file picker in the Value column. Choose a file and it uploads immediately (the page reloads on the same tab). The stored file name is shown next to a red X button; click X to delete the image and revert to the default. Files are renamed after the setting (e.g. modal_image.jpg), so uploading a new file replaces the old one. JPEG files are stored as .jpg.
