1. Go to Stock Management (admin/stocks) and click the Stock Alert button next to the meal or portion you want to watch, within that location's panel.
2. In the modal, turn on Enable stock alert and set an Alert threshold quantity — the alert fires the first time that meal's stock at this location drops to or below the threshold.
3. Click Save alert. A Test email button (superadmin accounts only) is also available, to confirm delivery without waiting for stock to actually run low.

By default, the alert email goes to your system default admin email address. To send it to specific staff instead, open that location's edit page under Retail Locations and choose employees under Stock Alert Email Recipients — once any employees are selected there, alerts for every meal at that location go to just those employees instead of the default admin address. This recipient list only appears when editing a Retail Location, not a Wholesale Location. This alert is specifically for retail stock at a pickup point/location — it's separate from meal-prep or subscription meal inventory.
