On the subscription page, the red error box offers two buttons while the subscription is in error and still set to auto-renew: Try on next scheduled renew clears the error flag so the next automatic run attempts the charge again (ask the customer to update their card first), and Cancel renew clears the error but switches auto-renewal off (the subscription becomes Paused). You can also click Force Renew to retry immediately. The same two actions are available in bulk on Subscriptions Errors (/admin/subscriptionserrors) as Try Again on Next Scheduled Renew and Disable auto renew.
