How do I create a new meal recipe step by step?
- Go to Ordering > Kitchen > Meal Recipes and click Add new meal.
- Upload a main image (click the image box) and set the toggles: Is Active? (on by default), Show Ratings?, and optionally the Premium / Custom badge toggles.
- Enter the Display Name (required, max 100 characters) and, if you like, an Internal Name (Only for Admin).
- Pick one or more Categories; add a Vendor, SKU, Net Weight, Default Meal Expiration as needed.
- Write the Description (or click Write With Sprwt AI).
- In Prices, enter the default portion's selling price, optional Surcharge and Regular Price, then activate any extra portion sizes and enter their Upgrade Price.
- Under Ingredients / Sub-recipes click Add Ingredient or Sub-Recipe, add items with the + button and enter the quantity for each portion size.
- Check the macros (Auto Macros on) and allergens, fill Heating instructions, Packaging instructions and Cooking Instructions.
- Click Save. You are returned to the saved meal with a "Done!" banner; the meal now has an ID and you can print labels, clone it, or use the AI image tools.
