Go to Settings > Kitchen Settings > Meal Categories and click the add button.

• Image - optional picture for storefront category blocks.
• Name (required) and Order (display position; you can also drag rows in the list).
• Group - the Meal Categories Group it belongs to (e.g. Type, Diet).
• Description - shown on the storefront where categories are described.
• Tag (unique ID - no spaces) - a short code used in the storefront and for label abbreviations.
• Background color / Text color - colours of the category badge on meal cards and labels.

Visibility toggles: Show diet categories on profile (customers can select this category in their profile preferences), Show on website (customers can see and filter by it), Show in header (appears in the storefront dropdown menu), Show in labels (printed meal labels), Show on anchor (only offered when the current-menu or à-la-carte page is set to display by category) and Show in POS terminal. Click Save.
