Use Configuration > Theme: Kitchen > How do you want to display ingredients on website? with the options Do not show sub-recipes or ingredients, Show Sub-Recipes Only, Show Sub-recipes and its ingredient breakdown (default) or Show ingredients only. For labels, Business: Labels > Show Sub-Ingredients on label decides whether the ingredients inside sub-recipes are printed. To hide one specific item everywhere on the front end and on labels, enable Hide from Customers on that ingredient or sub-recipe; it still appears in reports and costs.
