How do I apply a recurring coupon to a subscription so the discount applies on every renewal?
- Create the coupon under Marketing > Coupons with the option to apply it to the subscription rate enabled; it must be a Fixed Dollar or Percentage coupon and active.
- On the subscription page, in Renewal Settings > Recurring Coupon, click Apply Coupon, enter the Coupon Code and click Apply Coupon.
Sprwt stores the current rate as Original Plan Price, sets Rate to Charge for Plan to the discounted amount (never below $0), and shows the coupon name with "(X% off)" or "($X off)". Every renewal then charges the discounted rate automatically – the coupon is not re-validated per checkout, so usage limits or expiry dates on the coupon do not stop the recurring discount. Possible errors: "Coupon not found", "Coupon is not active", "This coupon is not configured for recurring subscription rate discounts", "Only Fixed Dollar or Percentage coupons can be applied to subscription rates".
