How are the open rate and click rate calculated?

Opened % = number of distinct recipients who opened the email ÷ number of emails sent × 100. Clicked % = distinct recipients who clicked any link ÷ emails sent × 100. A person who opens the same email five times counts once in the rate; the raw event totals are shown separately in the small line under the rate (8 opened · 13 opens total), and hovering the Opened line shows the average opens per person. The same rule applies to the Dashboard-wide averages and to the Opened/Clicked columns in the campaign list.

Unsubscribed, Spam complaints and Bounced are event counts divided by emails sent. In email tracking generally (including the email delivery service that sends Sprwt's campaigns), opens are detected through a tracking pixel loaded by the recipient's mail client, so a recipient whose client blocks images by default may read the email without it being counted as opened.
