With the Macros module, the meal editor shows a macros table (Macro, Qnt, Daily %) next to the ingredients, with a portion selector above it. When Auto Macros? is on for the selected portion, every macro is summed from the ingredients (ingredient macro × quantity ÷ per-each), the input boxes are hidden, and a calculated result is shown in their place; the Daily % column and progress bar compare the value with the macro's daily value (over 100 % is shown in red). Switch Auto Macros? off to type values by hand for that portion. Auto/manual is remembered per portion size, so a Large can be automatic while the default is manual.

Macros whose Front and Labels display are both set to Hide on the Macros page are not listed in the table but are still calculated and stored.
