Gross Sales is deliberately a top-line number. It counts the product subtotal before coupons of every order placed in the period, including orders that are still unpaid, orders later refunded or cancelled, and orders paid with digital balance, cash or check that never went through Stripe. It also leaves out tax, delivery and tips, which do reach your bank, and it ignores processing fees, which do not. To reconcile with deposits, use the Profit And Loss Report – especially Total Net and Total Stripe Expected Payout – and remember Stripe pays out on its own schedule.
