In the current version, only the POS Terminal (/admin/pos) applies it. This is the "Which categories are displayed on POS Menu" setting under the Order: POS Menu tab of Client Config, with options Meal Categories or Primary Categories. The category list is filtered to meals with Show on POS Terminal turned on and grouped by Primary Category only when the request is running in POS mode with that setting turned to Primary Categories; Checkout As (/admin/checkouts/new) always loads the full regular meal-category list without that filter or grouping, regardless of the setting. In other words, staff placing an order via Checkout As currently see every meal under its normal Meal Categories, not the POS Category tabs a cashier sees on the terminal.
