Instagram issues a long-lived token that lasts about 60 days. Sprwt refreshes it automatically whenever the feed is displayed and the token is within 7 days of expiring, so a site that shows the feed regularly stays connected without any action. If the token does lapse (for example the module was removed from all pages for months, or the Instagram password changed), open the card and click Connect Instagram again.

The feed itself is cached for one hour: new posts appear on your site within an hour of being published. If Instagram's API is temporarily unavailable, the last cached posts keep showing rather than an empty block; a page that has never been connected shows Instagram feed not connected.
